    Default Recovery software (Revival)

    hi ,

I used a recovery software like 7 years ago,
it had eagle in its splash screen. It did a great
job. The only problem is, i do not know the name
of the program. How do i find that out?(so that i can google it and get it).

    thanks,
    langenfeld

I believe the name was "Revival". I used this software years ago also. The website listed in the files readme is no longer active. So development for this recovery title appears to have halted.

Quickly searching for the filename of the file I have archived; revive31.zip, results in this site which the download does work. And matches the same filesize of the one I have archived.

You can get the much smaller V3.1 467Kb floppy version here I dont think it has any less functionality.

I too have the floppy version. The floppy version just includes the executable and not the installation package.

    Also,
"Revival supports TCP/IP network. It is possible to recover damaged drives remotely over a Local Area Network (LAN) as well as over the Internet.

In Revival 3.1, Dossrvr(DOS Server) using IPX/SPX network has been added. If you use Dossrvr, you can recover files from a system that Windows is not working."
