I'd rather install an old (much smaller) version of Intellpoint.
Can it be added to oldversion.com?

(same guy here)
Program Name: IntelliPoint Mouse Software for Windows 2000
Website: Microsoft.com
Current version: 5
Desired versions: 2, 3, 4
Description: Enables doubleclick for the wheel-button and configures 3rd/4rd mousebutton.
MS doesn't offer any IntelliPoint 3 or 4 version for W2K, but that's what i seek.
I don't want to stuff 15Mb's (or more?) on my HD just to have the mouse doubleclick with the scroll-button!
http://www.pcdrivers.com/input.htm found version 4.1 on this page the download link is functional but havent downloaded and installed to check and verify version.
Looking for an older version of the Intellimouse software suite.
Website: www.microsoft.com/mouse
Current version: 5.2
Desired Version: Anything before, I don't remember exactly, but 4.7 should be fine.
Description: Software suite for Microsoft Based mice, allowing you to bind special commands to the extra mouse buttons.
Alternatively, you may supply a program which performs the same function. I want to be able to bind the side mice buttons to other than the defaults (defaults are back/forwards in the browser window). Right side button bind to close (or alt-f4) as global, and in IE set as minimize.
Either solution would be a ppreciated. Running Windows XP Professional Ed.

You can also download 4.12 from microsoft as for 4.7 where did you get info such a version was released, anyway 4.12 could be the most fully functional old version.
