Fraps is a software "three-in-one" that offers both display the number of frames per second of a game (FPS), to make screenshots and then save the sequences of video games . Side features, Fraps knows save screenshots in BMP, JPEG, PNG and TGA with a timer option that automates the task of making the capture. For videos, the registration can be done in half or full resolution, 30, 50 or 60 FPS, in stereo or multi-channel, all in AVI format. Finally, Fraps can also act as a benchmark recording statistics for a sequence of FPS gaming. Note that it is now compatible with DirectX 11, nVidia DX10 and DX11 in 3DVision, ATI Eyefinity and videos can be read and finally published in VLC, and Avidemux.
